Overview
uCode is an innovative IT school. Unlike traditional schools, uCode's approach to education focuses on teaching 100% practical skills that are relevant to the real world. The educational programs are created with IT industry leaders such as Ubisoft, Cisco, Squad, ITernal
Problem
The main problem of the LMS platform is that it’s created by developers. They focused on features instead of user experience that’s why platform looks confusing and hard to use. Students had a hard time
The goal was to reinvent the current experience so it’s user-centred, eye-pleasing, and focused on humans instead of unnecessary features. It should be intuitive, easy to navigate and use on everyday basis

Outcomes
We designed and developed fully-featured LMS platform for the students and also the admin panel for the tutors.
Discover
My goal as a designer is to bring value to the business. To do that I need to know users as much as I can. The clients of the platform is young students that study new field. They spend 8-12 hours studying on the platform.
I wanted discover what kind of problems students face when using the platform and how to help them achieve their goals.
In-depth user interviews
After user interviews I had more clear picture. Main pain points was the confusing navigation, lack of dark theme, no visible progress when it comes to completing challenges, no filtering at all, no mobile version.

The next step was to create an information architecture of the project. It helped me to visually represent the project scope as well as navigation and functions.
The navigation is simple and obvious for the students.

Prototypes
To help explain functionality to stakeholders and development team I designed a prototypes of future product.
Once the prototypes received stakeholder approval, we begin on the design of the entire platform's pages.
