Overview

Appspector is a web application that provides a set of tools for mobile developers to remotely monitor, analyze and troubleshoot issues in realtime.

Problem

The absence of consistent components made it strenuous to design and develop new features that would seamlessly integrate into the existing platform. AppSpector's web application required a comprehensive redesign to address these issues and provide a user-friendly interface, consistent design that is easy to develop and extend with new features.

The application presented an array of different components for executing similar actions, causing confusion among users and making it difficult for developers to navigate and utilize the platform effectively. This inconsistency not only impeded the usability of the application but also complicated the development process by lacking a cohesive design system.

Outcome

When we created a design system, we established a standardized set of UI components, patterns, and guidelines that could be reused across different features. This reduced the need to design and code from scratch, allowing us to develop faster and maintain consistency in user experiences. As a result, our product development costs will decrease, and we will delivere new features more efficiently by focusing on functionality rather than reinventing designs. This streamlined approach also will minimise errors and improve collaboration between our design and development teams.
